We had an outstanding experience working with Maxwell on our full 1,350 sq ft basement renovation. His communication was excellent, which made a big project feel surprisingly easy. He showed great attention to detail and high‑quality work, and he approached every challenge as a problem solver, not a barrier. Like most renovations, we made a few changes along the way. Maxwell handled everything with total transparency, walking us through options and trade‑offs so we could make confident decisions. He also offered thoughtful suggestions whenever he saw opportunities to improve the space, which showed how much he cares about the final result. Maxwell treats people with respect and honesty. We highly recommend him.

Max and his team were easy to work with and knowledgeable helping us install our dream gas stove and vent. In our first meeting they were quick to identify potential issues and gave us a good estimate. We couldn't be happier with the result!

We are so grateful to Maxwell and his team. After suffering a flood, Maxwell was able to jump right in and not only restore the kitchen and basement after damage, but transform the space into what we had been dreaming of for years. What should have been a stressful time was made light by Maxwell's friendly and calm demeanor, superior knowledge, guidance and communication. When additional issues with our mid-century home arose, he was able to offer reasonable solutions to meet our needs. All of his subcontractors did exemplary work, from floors to lights and everything between. We would love to work with Maxwell again!

We had a wonderful experience start to finish working with Maxwell and his team on our basement remodel. We had a flood in our basement from our egress windows and in the dry-out process, we had to remove drywall and carpet. We worked with Maxwell to put it all back together and put in a custom entertainment center/shelving unit to house and hide kids' toys and books. Maxwell was so friendly and walked us through the process with frequent in-person and email updates about progress of the project and next steps. He helped us troubleshoot a couple issues - like how to level out the floor (as best able!) - with very reasonable solutions. He and his team took excellent care of the rest of our house when coming and going. We would highly recommended Green Light Construction both for the work product and their professionalism!

We consider ourselves so lucky to have found Maxwell for our remodel! We worked with Maxwell to finish our basement and add a back deck to our 1920s home. Much of this project was sentimental as we are living in the house where I grew up. Maxwell and his team treated our home with such care and consideration, even incorporating parts of the house in the remodel and finding new windows that mirrored the look of the original basement windows. It was important to me that the basement and deck look and feel like they fit with the period of the house. The final product exceeded my expectations. Communication was prompt and consistent from the moment we reached out to schedule a consultation and throughout the entire project. When decisions needed to be made, Maxwell helped weigh options, was transparent with cost, and considered options we hadn’t thought about. He took the time to understand our vision, and we trusted and valued his perspective. Maxwell and his team are incredibly kind and pleasant to be around. I was able to work from home and go about our daily routines with little to no disruption while they worked on such a major project. The subcontractors were excellent and scheduled thoughtfully, so there were no gaps in the work timeline. We can’t recommend Maxwell enough!

We just completed a full bathroom remodel with Green Light Construction, and we loved working with Maxwell and the whole team. Maxwell works with excellent tile installers and cabinet makers, and we are thrilled with the end result. Our bathroom not only looks fantastic, but Maxwell was very thorough in making sure all the quirks that had gone into prior renovations of our 1909 home were fixed, and we feel so much better about the quality of our home than we did prior to construction. Maxwell was consistently excellent at communication, and was calm and kind with all of our questions and minor changes that came up on our end during the process. Everything came in on-budget and on-time, with no surprises. We wish we had more renovation needs, because we would love to work with Greenlight again. UPDATE 7/25: We had Maxwell and his team back to build an exterior deck/set of stairs, move a dryer vent, and build a wisteria trellis. Maxwell was very responsive, as usual, and was able to fit us into his schedule. The crew cleaned up thoroughly everday and minimized any disruption to our yard. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process, and everything was completed just as we wanted it, at a fair price. We would not hesitate to work with them again.

Max and his team did two exterior doors for us. We were absolutely delighted working with him and the final results exceeded our expectations. We had some specific ideas in mind and he was patient and realistic with the cost and timeframe. And when he was finished everyone was left cleaner and better than it was before! 100% recommend!

After living with our partially finished basement for over 3 years, we decided it was time to transform it into a proper living space for our family with two soon-to-be teens. The project included adding a bathroom, a multi-purpose room with egress windows (to qualify as a legal bedroom), closet space, and a laundry area. We met with three companies, but something about Maxwell and Green Light Construction just clicked with us - and wow, did that instinct pay off. From the design phase through completion, Maxwell struck the perfect balance of being professional and personable. He worked collaboratively with us on the floor plan, offering several options and explaining how structural and plumbing realities might affect the layout. The budget discussions were refreshingly transparent - Maxwell was clear about what was included in the core costs and which items (like bathroom fixtures and carpet) we'd select and purchase separately. Like others have mentioned, Maxwell's communication throughout was spot-on. His team and subcontractors were consistently punctual and skilled, and they kept the workspace remarkably clean. They even set up our washer/dryer in temporary spots throughout the phases so we could keep doing laundry - a huge help for our family of four. The project stayed on schedule, passed every inspection without a hitch, and even when we requested changes, Maxwell was accommodating and offered creative solutions when needed. What really stood out was how little the renovation disrupted our daily life, partly thanks to the basement location with garage access, but mostly due to Maxwell's considerate approach to managing the project. After completion, he gave us time to live in the space before coming back for touch-ups - that kind of attention to detail makes all the difference. We've ended up with exactly what we wanted: a warm, inviting space that works perfectly for our family now and will adapt well for future needs. Looking back, we keep saying how fortunate we were to have found Maxwell and Green Light Construction for this project.

Maxwell and his team are a joy to work with. They came up with the perfect design for our basement based on our initial sketches, making smart tradeoffs and honoring the spirit of our ideas while coming up with much better uses of the space. The construction project stayed right on schedule, and Maxwell’s communication was consistent and accurate all the way through. Our formerly depressing unfinished basement is now a gorgeous and functional space that we enjoy every single day. We had such a great experience that we asked his team to expand the project to include a new beautiful new deck. We were braced for a stressful project, but Green Light surprised us with a pleasant experience start to finish.
