Our clients in Alameda did not know what to do with their 1200 sq ft basement in a 1911 house. So they called Green Light Construction to design it and build a wonderful basement remodeling project to fit their needs. We built a new stair case with white oak treads. And we also created a bedroom for guests and out of town family. A bathroom was added with a simple shower and single sink along with a durable stylish tile floor.
The main living spaces also include an entertainment area to watch a movie, or the kids to relax playing games. The room is insulated and sound reduction was planned for. The basement remodel also includes a wet bar with two refrigerators for snacks and drinks.
The remodeling project also has Quartz counter tops around the sink and wet areas. There is a walnut butcher block for the bar stool height. Custom dimmable lighting is through out to set any mood. A new furnace with clean new plumbing was completed for the rest of the house. These are some lasting basement remodeling improvements that will give the house extra room for guests and celebrations for years to come.
We love taking an outdated or unfinished basement and making it new again. Not only does remodeling your basement add value to your home, it can also greatly expand your livable area. A finished basement adds beauty to your home and opens it up to the possibility of additional bedrooms, playrooms, a home theater, an exercise room, an extra kitchen area or a bar.
