We are now part of the FIR program in Portland, Oregon. This is the Field Issuance and Remodeling program. We will be able to get permits for our projects much faster now, by consulting with a senior building inspector at the job site. The current wait for city reviewed permits is two months. As we build the project we will be working with the same inspector throughout the project. We can plan out what the next needed inspection will be and proceed in a cooperative manor. It took us over a year of wait list to get on board with this program. We have some drawings in the works that will be a perfect fit for this.
This year we renewed with the Better Business Bureau for the 14th year. We are happy to have maintained a stellar record with them for so long.
We have also been with the Portland Architectural center for about 12 years now. They have had some fascinating programs about historic Portland buildings. Three are some real treasures in this town. We have been fortunate to work on some of them.
This year will be our second year with the Home builders Association. We are hoping to get to know some of the new trends in building as always learn a bit more about building science.
Looking forward to a great 2017. This year we will be building some additions and improving some older homes.
Meeting our goals. This last year we have been focused on exceeding customer expectations. While we are a construction company listening and treating peoples homes with care sets us apart from the others. It makes for a good work day for us also. Give us a call or an e-mail we would like to work with you on your project.
I got this e-mail at the start of January this year and it brought a lot satisfaction. It was from a client we worked with several years ago. It was nice to be remembered for the work in such positive terms.
I am writing because you (worked on) our house about 14 years ago and did a really good job. In searching your name, it appears you are now in Portland. We are wondering how far north you travel for work? The house needs work again and the kitchen needs remodeling.
If Seattle is too far to come, can you give referrals?
This year it will be our goal to work each of or project clients to create a lasting positive result. We hope to achieve this on every one of the remodels of kitchens bathrooms or additions that we build here in Portland. Happy New Year, from Green Light Construction.
